Generally these people have strong Type A personalities They don't want to be embarrassed. In the US there is a masculine narrative of not showing weakness.
It is a lonely pursuit Read The Narrow Road by Felix Dennis in it you'll learn from the guy best known for starting Maxim Magazine that Ego Doesn't serve you, ever. That building a business is a long, lonely and humbling path.
When you're down you feel like you'll never be back up again.
