In Episode 006 The Perfect Morning Routine - How to Wake Up Like a Champion, I detail the morning routine I use to put myself into a peak mental, physical and emotional state. The "Hour of Power" includes Practicing Breath of Fire (or Bastrika) , Filling yourself with Gratitude and Visualizing a compelling future. Give yourself the gift of time to think, to feel, to be and to fill yourself up. Condition yourself to thrive through simple habits compounded daily, it's 100% free and you get ALL the benefit.
Take care of yourself, take time each day to remember who you are and what you're about.
The edge comes when you master your mind and your emotions. This isn't stupid positive thinking, this is about pulling out the weeds and planting a beautiful garden in your mind. If you're going to have an extraordinary quality of life the passion, the love, the excitement, the connection, the juice, the happiness where you've got it all, whatever your definition of the ultimate life, that comes when you master your mind and focus.
Put on your oxygen mask first. If you want to help others you must first help yourself. You cant help others if you cant breathe. Some people give and give and give without ever filling themselves up. Take time to recharge
Make it a MUST. Find the time, we get our musts we don't get our should's.
Get over your fear and tell yourself the truth.
Take a time each day and break away from the hypnosis of the culture that tells you to settle for less than you can be.
That tells you to settle for a life where there's no passion.
Don't let outside opinions compromise your truth.
Industrial society has taken things from us that are intrinsic within us and tries to sell them back. Sex, happiness, freedom and power.
When we CONSUME its harder to PRODUCE so avoid media and distractions (including email) for the first hour of your day
and your thinking will be much more clear. Society is always trying to tell you how to be and think and feel. Take this as an opportunity to listen to your heart.
The days you don't want to do it are the most important.
Just like workouts, some days feel incredible and other don't. I call these CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS and they make all the difference.
Remember: I don't have all the answers, I'm not a guru. Just a companion on the path.
